I came home from holiday to find that I had been nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award by Kristi at Alligator Toe. What a nice surprise! From what I can gather about the award, it’s a nice way for bloggers to highlight some of their favourite blogs and hopefully introduce some new readers to them. So I’m really grateful to Kristi for nominating me, I haven’t been blogging for very long and I’m honoured to have been noticed!

Found by Sarah has had a bit of a re-vamp and I think it’s looking pretty snazzy now if I do say so myself! I’ve moved it over to new hosting space, freeing it up from the confines of WordPress. When I started this blog earlier in the year, I had quite a different idea about how I thought it should look and how it would evolve. As it started taking shape I decided that I needed more control over the appearance, so after several days of hair pulling and shouting technical web based obscenities at the screen, it’s done! A big thanks to my (extremely patient) partner in crime Adam for lending me his awesome design skills, I will re-pay you in hugs and sushi!

Welcome to my new website! I decided that I wanted to start documenting my adventures into furniture restoration and renovation, so a blog seemed like the perfect place to do it. I want to share my ideas, tips, successes and failures and hopefully it will be helpful for others who love making things as much as me. I’m sure as things go along my blog will happily and inevitably wander into the realms of other crafty things, as I love anything practical and creative.
About me..
My name is Sarah and I live in Coventry in the Midlands. I’ve always loved creative things; I spent several years indulging myself studying for a Fine Art degree and now I run a product photography company called Adam and Sarah with my boyfriend. I’m always making something; whether it’s origami Christmas decorations, battling with my sewing machine or transforming a beaten up piece of furniture into something shiny and new, I’m happiest when I can see something I’m working on starting to take shape.
So I have the tools; my trusty arsenal of Annie Sloan chalk paints and waxes, brushes of all shapes and sizes, a garage in which to make lots of mess and a slightly unhealthily large ‘watch’ list on eBay. I can’t wait to get started on my next project!
